Custom Shopify experience

Love Island is an international hit show and a cultural phenomenon. ITV Studios hired Something Else Studio to design a new Love Island online store. It needed to be mobile-first, engaging, and aligned with the Love Island brand - and in time for the launch of the hit show in the US and Netherlands.

The store needed to be mobile-first, engaging, and aligned with the Love Island brand.

While exploring available Shopify themes, we quickly realised that none met our standards for responsiveness and speed required for a seamless mobile experience. For us, a mobile experience needs to be real-time, with quick loading and instant product personalisation.

The store features design and art direction by our team and photography by Andrew Hobbs, giving it a magazine-like feel.

It includes a real-time product personalisation tool for items like the Love Island water bottle, allowing users to see their names appear instantly, with AI algorithms ensuring brand-appropriate language.
